There's a scene where the queen bee feeds the protagonist an elixir as a reward (bees exchange nutrients via mouth), and in that scene, instead of drawing a beak mouth, they drew a human mouth, which is so suspicious that the suspiciousness is multiplying like crazy.
Suspicious, suspicious.
But if they drew them as actual bugs, nobody would be able to look at it... A prime example is if they drew it in the art style of Hive... oof... terrifying.
