Seriously, Quickplay is the absolute worst thing ever

I've been playing Quickplay ever since it dropped with the April Fools' patch two weeks ago.

To be blunt, there is zero benefit to this mode other than the fact that games end quickly.

It's kind of fun that the game tempo is faster and items come out quicker, and it feels less sluggish, which is fine.

But the problem is that the tempo is way too fast.

Because the game moves so quickly, everyone scales at an insane rate. This makes the whole concept of a 'gold/XP lead' feel way more volatile than in normal modes. A tiny mistake or just leaving someone alone for a second leads to massive item and level gaps. I've seen games where a guy who was 2 levels down in lane suddenly ends up 4 levels ahead because his team secured all the Epic Monsters. I've even seen people who were inting all game suddenly grab a triple kill, cash in on bounties, and then hard carry the rest of the match.

Maybe it's because of this, but the quality of players has tanked since Quickplay was introduced.

People just mindlessly run it down without realizing where they messed up or what they did wrong, throwing games that were easily winnable.

In the old tempo, you could afford to lose a trade or two and still have a chance to come back later. But like I said, this mode is so unforgiving that one mistake basically deletes any chance of a recovery.

The 'Sudden Death' mechanic after 30 minutes is also a huge mess. It forces all turrets and inhibitors to go down, turning the game into a brainless backdoor base race. I've lost games that were 100% won because of this nonsense.

I get that they wanted to make a mode for quick, casual fun.

But how am I supposed to play 'casually' when the whole game collapses after one tiny mistake? My teammates aren't even trying, and even if I play perfectly a hundred times, one slip-up ruins everything. This weird system just adds to the fatigue and is honestly just pure frustration lol.

People tell me to play Draft Pick if I don't like Quickplay? The whole point of Normals is to play what I want. If I'm going to deal with role restrictions and bans, I'd just play Ranked. Why would anyone bother with Draft? Plus, the queue never even pops anyway lol.

Play ARAM? I don't even consider that boring-ass mode a real game.

When Quick Play (the previous version) came out two years ago, I hated it at first because of the secondary role autofill issues. But after a while, I grew to like it because it ended the fighting over roles in champ select.

But this new Quickplay? There's zero room for re-evaluation. They seriously need to delete it and bring back the old Quick Play or completely overhaul the system. You can tell there's a problem just by how much longer the queue times have gotten. Honestly, even Heroes of the Storm looks like a masterpiece compared to this.

This mode isn't even worth it for killing time. I got so tilted playing this that I started playing Ranked again for the first time in 3 years, and honestly, Ranked is way better.

it's just a legendary trash mode where they completely failed to balance the tempo between junglers and laners
