Upcoming Patch to Hide "My Info" Until the Game Ends

A new 'Hide My Name' feature will be introduced. When enabled, your summoner name will be replaced with your champion's name during loading, pick, and in-game.

After the game fully ends, your name will become visible in the 'Results' screen.

When this is applied

During the game, stat sites like OP.GG may not be able to see your current name (it will be visible after the game ends).

The 'Hide My Identifying Info' option below can hide your mastery points (tens of thousands).

For users who have not enabled 'Hide My Info': when they see someone who has it enabled, that person's nickname is hidden.

For users who have enabled 'Hide My Info': when they see someone who has it off, that person's nickname is visible (because the other person turned off name hiding, so their name is not hidden).

Summary: If you use the 'Hide My Info' feature, you can keep your identity hidden like a masked singer until the game is completely over.

* 'Ugh, I had a trash teammate last game' — this patch will make that complaint impossible.

      윰이장인In pick screen it shows as "Player 1" and in-game it also shows the champion name instead of yours

      There are people who act like they know you just because you were in their last game, or try to tilt you (sap your morale). In that sense, this is fine. Plus, it's an opt-in feature, so I feel like it's actually considerate, no?

      되게 착해요I usually just get carried that game and say sorry. I mean, who cares, you prove yourself in that game anyway. Honestly, feels like you end up running into them again and it's all 'oh hey!' or they compliment you for popping off last game way more often. As for those games where the team mental boomed and you got stomped—just report and avoid as teammate? That way you won't run into em again...

    another fucking dogshit patch lol if they're gonna do this they should just remove the accept button valorant has this shit and no accept button either. and even when you hide your name with external apps on valorant you can still check match history and kda on op.gg so what the fuck is the point if op.gg can't know. i guess there are good parts too but it's def got bad parts. if they're gonna copy valorant and do this then we should at least be able to accept and know who the fuck ppl are in game
