do i need to predict based on our jungler's position? how do you guys predict? just go in with the mindset of 2v1?
even if it's not about prediction, if there are any op.gg jungler bros, can you tell me some good times to gank?

Calculate average jungle clear time of 3:15~3:30, and think first gank is around that time. If the red team jungler starts at their main red buff and goes to the opposite blue buff, top lane lvl 3 gank around 2 minutes, ward the tri-brush.

People usually call predicting the enemy jungler's path 'finding the evidence' or something. From level 1, you drop a ward on their raptors and see where they start — then you can figure out, 'okay, at this time they're probably around here. Since they're playing this champ, they'll probably go for a level 3 gank, or if it's a slow clearer, I can invade.' Late game, it's all about vision control. If the enemy jungler just ganked top, then they're probably coming to counter-jungle me now, so I take the opposite path and get some advantage instead. You get these little bits of vision, gather those clues, and move based on them. Since a jungler has to get the maximum gain with the minimum movement, the more you play jungle, the more you develop a natural feel for pathing, and you can start predicting the enemy jungler's next moves too.

play jungle a shit ton and you just get the feel for it

You can predict by looking at ally warding, camp count (4cs per camp), and champion-specific traits (preferred first camp, etc.).

just spam danger ping and back ping all over the map then when the team gets ganked say "ah you still get caught even when i pinged"

it's about predicting pathing, right? like if they start at a buff, they'll path to the opposite buff side, so around 3 minutes you can guess they're at gromp or krugs. then you throw in variables, maybe go for a gank, or go for a gank half a tempo faster, etc

if you're top, unless you need to ward lane bush for the matchup, after defending invade and after 1 min, if blue team ward enemy raptors, if red team ward between enemy blue and gromp then you can see their whole path

The basics are: 1. Predict based on the enemy jungler's first camp start location. 2. Predict based on kills/assists, where the enemy jungler shows up, and then their next path (e.g., if our jungler finished clearing camps, a fight broke out bot, and kills were traded, their next path is likely top side). 3. Predict based on objective timers.

since i play jungle a lot, i just use missing camps, scuttle crab, and gut feeling then i'm like 'they're probably around here'

So you're a laner? I'm a jungler, so I can ping for you, but if the team doesn't ping, it's better to judge by the enemy's movements. Below a certain tier, there's always that shitty obvious movement where they're trying to set up for a gank.

I'm a jungler. When I go top, my mindset is that if they come, they die. Thank you.
