Summary
-
To play Ranked, you normally need to hit level 30 and play 10 Normal games (excluding level 30 super accounts).
-
Some suspicious accounts were found jumping straight into Ranked after only leveling up through Co-op vs. AI (bot games).
-
Usually, fresh accounts play Normals first, get placed in Gold~Plat lobbies, and end up around Gold after placements.
-
These bugged accounts skip Normals and go straight to Ranked, starting in Diamond~Master lobbies. After placements, they land in Emerald 1~Diamond with +30 -10 LP gains.
-
Turns out, the whistleblower admitted all those accounts were theirs and asked for this to be exposed on YouTube.
-
The trick is using Quickplay, which doesn't show up on match history sites (impossible to track).
-
After testing with 8 accounts, the whistleblower found that playing even one Normal game locks your MMR to Gold, making it a regular fresh account.
-
But Quickplay has no such lock (allowing for the old-school fresh account MMR abuse).
-
If you win-streak in Quickplay like the old MMR abuse days and get matched with even one Master player on either team, you place Emerald 1 (Plat 1 if no Masters).
-
You might ask, "What if I never meet a Master player?" Well, you just force one onto your team (via duoing, etc.).
-
Since it's +30 -10 all the way to Master 200LP, you can hit Master 200LP even with a 40% win rate on Yuumi. At 600LP, it becomes +26 -13.
-
As of the 10th, the whistleblower says they personally know of 30~40 such accounts lol
Get to work, Riot
