(Seoul=News1) Reporter Ahn Tae-hyun = Yoo Jae-suk donated 50 million won to a sanitary pad support project for vulnerable girls and young women at home and abroad.
On the 14th, the international development cooperation NGO G Foundation announced that Yoo Jae-suk had donated 50 million won to the sanitary pad support project for vulnerable girls and young women both domestically and internationally.
Yoo Jae-suk reportedly participated in this donation with the intention of supporting girls and young women who face difficulties due to a lack of sanitary pads, so that they can grow up healthy in a hygienic and safe environment.
Having been donating through G Foundation since April 2020, Yoo Jae-suk has contributed a total of 300 million won worth of funds to health and hygiene projects, including sanitary product kit support and comprehensive sanitation facility support, as well as cultural education support projects.
Park Chung-kwan, the head of G Foundation, expressed his gratitude for Yoo Jae-suk's donation, saying, "We sincerely thank him for his continued interest in the foundation's health and hygiene projects."
He further explained, "Due to the recent rise in prices and economic downturn, low-income households, including vulnerable girls and young women, are facing greater financial burdens than before. The donation delivered through this contribution to the health and hygiene project will greatly help girls and young women living in such circumstances alleviate the difficulties caused by period poverty and grow up healthier and safer."
