just need to vent real quick

28 yo LoL addict here, recently got cut off by a friend of 11 years been about 5 months..? i had no idea why either. but yesterday at reserve training another friend told me — he apparently hung out with my ex-girlfriend alone, caught feelings, and confessed or whatever. of course i heard she turned him down feels like i lost 11 years. he was the friend i honestly thought was my closest, but getting backstabbed still has me in shock every holiday i'd go to his place, say hi to his parents, give his little brother some pocket money — i really thought i was putting in the effort guess he wanted a girl more than an 11-year friend. back when i didn't know why i was cut off, i was beating myself up thinking i must've done something wrong just kinda a rough day. never thought a guy who never even had a girlfriend would tear down 11 years of friendship just 'cause he wanted to date too embarrassed to tell our other friends, but i needed to get this off my chest and somehow this place came to mind even though that friend was always simping hard for girls, i still thought he was a good dude who looked out for his hyungs, dongsaengs, and friends. now looking back, i guess not lol
