Looking at the new champs lately

Isn't it about time we got a champ that can freely switch between ranged and melee? Not the conditional kind like Gnar or Samira (Gnar depends on his transformation state, Samira when she goes melee, etc.), but one where I can toggle it with a skill press. Back when I played a mobile AOS called Penta Storm, the champion Soi had that feel. If that mechanic came to LoL as-is, I think it'd be called pretty busted, so I'd be happy if they only brought over the ranged-melee toggle mechanic and the ultimate HP redistribution mechanic.
