At around 25 min our ADC tried to push the enemy's tier 2 mid turret solo and died. My friend keeps insisting it was a good play though. No matter what we say he won't listen. I'm pretty sure that's just a throw
Buddy keeps gaslighting me so I'm asking here

Honestly from an outsider's perspective just reading this post, there's no way to tell who's right. Depends on a lot of things like how fed the ADC is, whether objectives are up, team's condition, etc. So many things to consider. Also dying for a t2 mid tower is a pretty reasonable trade sometimes.

What about the rest of the team??

It's just straight up a loss lol. From the replies, if the team was resetting/recalling and the AD carry tried to push tier 2 mid solo and died, it's 100% the ADC's fault. It's a team game — the team judged it was too risky to touch tier 2 mid so they went to reset, but if you're gonna die trying to push it alone, why even play as a team? It's basically like Teddy thinking pushing mid then invading is the right call and taking mid farm without Chovy's consent. Your friend just doesn't get adaptation. Pushing mid? Macro-wise, that's the right play. But the ADC pushing mid even if it means dying? And then claiming it was a good play? That's literally just memorizing the answer key from a solution guide without understanding anything.

i mean, could be the right call depending on the situation, so i can't really say anything definitively

i mean, there are situations where it could be a good play

It *could* be a good play if there's no objective up, no bounty, no chance of a fight over red/blue/rift herald, your ADC is behind on farm, and the enemy didn't give the kill to their main carry. Otherwise it's pretty much always a macro loss.

Judging by the level of your question, this one's on you.

Like everyone else is saying, it's hard to say who's right here. Could be your friend is actually correct. But honestly, an ADC going alone to push mid tower in the first place isn't great habit, especially when they couldn't even take it.

Or drop the match ID, then.

Past 20 minutes an ADC dying is just always a loss. If it were actually worth it, pros would be doing it by now. There's no way it's ever a good trade.
