first time losing a wallet..

From my experience, a week later it gets mailed to the police station. Freeze your cards right away, and if it's not urgent, it's easier not to reissue your cards and ID...
You must live in a nice neighborhood. I live in hell, so it's hard to expect that.
Since I only had a debit card in there, I left a small amount of money in the account and moved the rest elsewhere to see if it was stolen or just lost. Thanks for the advice.

you can check online if someone found it and turned it in to the cops, so keep checking someone i know also lost their wallet and found it that way
