what i've been feeling lately as i play each role

what i've been feeling lately as i play all roles—it was always like this, but now it's even worse: it's a 'game of rolling teammates who actually know the game'.

knowing the game means: do you understand the aos genre? do you know how to play as a team? that's part of it, but within league itself, there's champion knowledge, role knowledge, what you need to do, and 'when you shouldn't act, when you have to force something'—those kinds of things.

also, how to set up the map state. <- i honestly don't get this, but i see people who don't even think about it, even on their main accounts..

i have five accounts going between different ranks right now...

especially in the lower brackets—bronze, silver, gold, platinum—the gap is huge.

i don't expect them to monitor other roles. i don't even expect them to check ally mana, or track what skills were used during fights and where their cooldowns are at.

(but at least ping if the enemy has flash. flash is a huge variable, fucking seriously)

just the basics. 'what my champion in my role can do and should do'—there are way too many people who don't do that. feels like the majority.

it's like their mindset is 'my kda is the most important thing.' is it better for me to die and watch the gray screen, or is it better for another role to carry now? when we have a guaranteed kill, is it better for me to take that takedown or for my teammate to take it?

do you press tab to see what items your teammates have built, and whether getting that item soon will give them the power to turn a losing fight?

you can call it selfish, but should i sometimes take the kill, say sorry, and then try to make up for it? (because being unconditionally selfless doesn't always win games.)

things like... if i'm first pick, whether top, mid, or bot, i might naturally get a rough lane. if the jungler picks whatever they want in champ select and i think 'there's no way this is gonna work,' then i just give up on the lane, 'play safe, don't die, build the basic items to counter the enemy comp, and figure out how to teamfight,' 'roam well, give up on tower plates, and manage the game so the tower holds out as long as possible,' 'see where the jungler is sitting, and just go help them. might as well make them a super carry.'

you should be thinking about how to win, but every day it's 'i'm first pick and the jungler never comes,' 'how is a level 3 gank supposed to work there?' etc.. lol 'we're bot, so we should focus bot, why are you playing topside?' etc etc....

oh! the most important thing. i think we should just remove the enter key. there are too many people who type instead of playing the game... that's how winnable games turn into losses, sooo often...

after playing four games of the 'lost all three inhibs, nexus regenerated' type (i.e., games that went down to the wire), i'm so tired seriously... how the hell are all four games 40 minutes minimum lolololol...ah...
