1. Check all LoL-related executable files Right-click each file one by one → Properties → Compatibility and check:
- ✅ Uncheck “Run this program in compatibility mode for:”
- ✅ If “Run this program as an administrator” is checked, uncheck it too.
Files to check:
- RiotClientServices.exe
- RiotClientUx.exe
- RiotClientUxRender.exe
- LeagueClient.exe
- LeagueClientUx.exe
- LeagueClientUxRender.exe
Typical locations:
- C:\Riot Games\Riot Client
- C:\Riot Games\League of Legends
2. Delete any leftover compatibility settings in the registry
Win+R
then type
regedit
and run it.
Navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
└ Software
└ Microsoft
└ Windows NT
└ CurrentVersion
└ AppCompatFlags
└ Layers
If you see any Riot or League-related paths here, delete them.
Then do the same at:
Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
└ Software
└ Microsoft
└ Windows NT
└ CurrentVersion
└ AppCompatFlags
└ Layers
Check here too.
3. Completely remove and reinstall Riot Client
Don't just uninstall from Control Panel — also delete the folder itself.
Delete:
C:\Riot Games
Then also delete:
코드
C:\ProgramData\Riot Games
After deleting both, reinstall Riot Client.
4. Check Windows settings
Go to Settings → System → Troubleshoot → Other troubleshooters, then
run the Program Compatibility Troubleshooter to see if there are any applied settings.
