Due to LP inflation and lucky matchmaking, players who were Emerald or Diamond last season are hitting Master and Grandmaster. Then, when their rank starts dropping due to the 50% win rate adjustment,
they genuinely believe they climbed because they're good. They get stuck in the mindset of "I don't belong in this low rank..." and just keep spamming games endlessly.
In every single match, there's a blatant skill gap between the two teams, and the impact of an individual's skill or performance on the outcome is almost non-existent.
This doesn't just apply to others; people might not even realize they're benefiting from the matchmaking themselves, and it's seriously rotting League from the inside out.
Just like pro players, singers, or athletes who rely on their fans, a game company exists because of its players. So who exactly is this current patch and situation for, when all it does is draw resentment from the community?
the root cause is toxic players using fresh accounts, boosting, or duoing to hit peak ranks they don't deserve and ruining game quality but those trash players still get carried by the 50% win rate system and if you just spam games you might win a couple more but the fact that you're forced to lose or waste so much time in low-quality matches is fucking annoying seeing streamers announce they're quitting league just shows that matthew is a total dumbass

Does climbing just by spamming games really reflect your actual skill level? Back in Season 9, 9 out of 10 games felt normal. But now, when I see the lobbies I have to dodge—stuff like Top Lissandra, ADC Teemo, and Support Ashe—it makes me wonder how much people can inflate their LP just by dodging correctly and grinding out-grinding the system.

riot's matchmaking system itself is actually fine it's the players who ruin it by making smurf queues, abusing the system, and acting like total idiots like 80% of the player base are just fake numbers from people smurfing on other people's accounts and honestly what's even the point when it's just smurfs sweating against each other in games that nobody else plays anymore
