I really need to find a timing to recall, but people keep pinging me to come help or overstay for another turn. The thing is, top, mid, adc, and jungle almost never use more than their own turn, so why should the support have to keep delaying theirs? Sometimes we even lose the vision game because of this and get thrown. But if I just say "not my problem" and go back to base, they start fighting among themselves, the game goes to shit, and then they start blaming me..
First off, when you're trying to recall as a support but your teammates keep trying to drag out your tempo, it's usually better to just go along with it unless it's a massive overextend. This is because the risk of overextending as a support is relatively lower compared to other lanes. Of course, if they're asking for help in a completely ridiculous situation, you should spam back pings. I think the mark of a truly great support is knowing how to walk that fine line of whether to rotate or not. But honestly, why do these 'damned if you do, damned if you don't' situations happen in the first place? It's because your tempo is out of sync with your team (whether that's your fault or theirs). That's why syncing your recall timing with your teammates is the best way to go. Try to keep a close eye on your team's status and use pings frequently to stay on the same page.

But honestly, when I'm playing ADC and I'm just one wave short of a core item, so I ping to stay for one more... it kinda hurts my feelings if the support just recalls alone

honestly just trust your gut if you decide not to go you get flamed and if you force yourself to go and things go south you still get flamed since you're gonna get flamed either way you might as well just do what you want

it doesn't matter how much a support tries to call the shots you can't carry the game anyway best to just read the room and play along
