Conqueror just doesn't feel right on Jax

No matter how I look at it, it's just not a good fit Most of his skill damage scales with AP, so if you go the standard build, you can't really make use of Conqueror's adaptive force (Sure, your autos hit harder, but Lethal Tempo is better for the attack speed) So if you want to actually use it, you'd have to go an AP build But the components for Stridebreaker (1st core) are pretty unstable (Actually, that's not a great point, so let's ignore that) The whole point of Conqueror with an AP build is that your short trades are stronger than the standard Lethal Tempo build, right? But even then, Grasp or PTA are just better with the same items Jax doesn't even feel the omnivamp from Conqueror as much as other champs do, so I honestly don't get why the stats show people still taking it Thanks for reading my long-winded shitpost

    Conqueror is only for those brain dead stat-checkers lol Grasp is usually the meta pick but Conqueror is just more fun

      even for brain dead limit testing i feel like lethal tempo for sustained trades or grasp for heavy poke is just better

    In 1vX situations, Conqueror is definitely the best since it provides both combat sustain and raw firepower. If it really didn't synergize with him, why would Challenger Jax OTPs bother taking Conqueror in the first place?

      Challenger sample size is way too small. Lethal Tempo has a higher win rate, and if you look at Master+ for a bigger sample, Conqueror's pick rate is only 12.5%. Its win rate is also lower than Lethal Tempo's.

      한칼에바람So you're saying the people who hit Challenger playing only Jax stick with Conqueror just because they don't understand the champion? Conqueror is just harder to use. If it didn't synergize with him, there's no way Challengers would be running it.

      한칼에바람Roma#Forum This guy is a Jax one-trick who used to play for the T1 Challengers team. Go check his match history. He'd rather run Electrocute or First Strike over Lethal Tempo—he literally never picks Lethal Tempo. Half of his games are on Conqueror. Also, you're focusing way too much on the laning phase. Once you get into small skirmishes, Conqueror's value completely outclasses Lethal Tempo. Jax gets enough attack speed from his passive anyway, and stacking Lethal Tempo up to 6 doesn't even give you that much damage. Conqueror is worth taking for the omnivamp alone. What's the standard Jax build these days? It's Trinity Force, Sundered Sky, and Zhonya's. Just looking at the items, he's built for team fighting now. The days of split-pushing Jax with Trinity, BotRK, and Hullbreaker are long gone. Sure, Lethal Tempo might be stronger for a 1v1 in a side lane, but that's just not how you play Jax anymore.
