Baby booze newbie's first cognac..
This is actually the first time I've made an effort to really taste and smell soju and whiskey like this.
So keep in mind that this might be a very clumsy attempt T.T
Nose: The first thing I got was fruit (like a fresh fruit) and chocolate, but after smelling it a bit longer, the alcohol note suddenly smacked me in the face. The fruit and chocolate were really nice, but the alcohol smell didn't sit well with me.
Palate: At first it's woody and tart fruit, then later it's sweet chocolate and a hint of saltiness. After swallowing, the chocolate scent lingers in my mouth.
Finish was shorter than I expected.
Smooth going down
Verdict: Since this is my first cognac and I have nothing to compare it to, I can't say whether it's objectively good or not. But based on my personal taste, aside from the alcohol note and the pretty short finish, I thought it was tasty.
Hope I can get to a point where I can write down all the detailed flavors and aromas later T.T
