Iron is just straight-up trash. But since my team is also bad, the ones who have to 'do it all' are basically doing forced sandbag training. That's why you get good players stuck in Iron.

i started in iron for placements this season and last, and i'm silver now. i think i know the iron/bronze/silver ecosystem better than anyone. climbing from iron 1 to bronze and bronze 2 to silver 1 was the hardest. the latter wasn't just hard, my win rate was kinda shaky but i eventually made it, but going from iron to bronze, f***, it's impossible to play a normal game. you gotta queue up on a day when the game gives you teammates who actually play the game to climb. if i hard carry and get a 20-min surrender, the next game my teammates go afk or i get psychos, so it's a 7-min or 15-min surrender, that kind of s*** happens

iron is already basically a troll pit so it's pointless

How about we make a trash tier below Iron, and if you've got too many bans or your honor's too low, you get forcibly banished there regardless of whether you're Iron or Diamond?

The biggest problem with Riot right now is that they're artificially suppressing rank climbing just to make the tier distribution "look pretty to them." Whether it's Iron or Master, there are way too many cases where the skill gap between players in the same tier is massive. Players who should be climbing get hard-stuck because of rigged matchmaking, and players who should be dropping don't fall because their win rates are artificially boosted.

I don't really agree, but you're not wrong. I have an acquaintance who's 100% pure Iron, and I was shocked when I saw them play Flex with two other Iron players and their KDA was actually insane... I was like, 'Wow, they can actually pull off a KDA like this on their own?'
