I saw this on some site, but the MMR distribution actually varies by tier. So even if there's a 1-3 tier difference, it can happen if you're at the average MMR. Plus, the higher the tier, the fewer people there are in the distribution, and the enemy team's MMR might be lower, which could also cause that. And if a user with similar MMR to you queued at the same time and chose a specific role, it's even more likely. I don't think you need to worry about it :D
The point about MMR distribution being different is that the Silver 1 player's MMR is high enough within Silver 1 to be similar to yours. Conversely, there are also Silver 1 players with MMR low enough that they could get demoted :)
