Do you remember those nostalgic flash games from the 95~2000s?

image Whether you're a high schooler, college student, working professional, or just a jobless OP.GG user, do you remember flash games?

If you're familiar with the big three flash game platforms that dominated the childhood of every Korean kid back then, you're definitely on your way to becoming a certified boomer.

image I heard Adobe Flash Player is ending its service this year. image This means we won't be seeing the screen above anymore. I heard there might be alternative programs so they won't be gone forever, but I'm not sure if we'll be able to play them as easily as before. (Not like it matters, I'll probably just be playing League anyway.)

Anyway, I've brought back about 10 of those childhood flash games I used to love.

  1. Dad 'n Me image I bet every OP.GG user knows this one lol It was the game that let us losers in real life become absolute beasts in another world. Though the final boss was so hard I could only beat it using the god mode version.

  2. Dangerous Racing image I remember you had to outrun the black cars chasing you and cross the finish line. I kept getting the explosion ending at first because I didn't know the way, but it was so addictive and fast-paced I couldn't stop.

  3. 3D Skateboard image The official name is 'Street Sesh,' but we all knew it as 3D Skateboard. It had high quality and lots of elements for such a short play time. Jumping over cars was the meta fr lol

  4. Child Escape image This art style is so familiar lol But I never actually knew how to play it, so I never beat it.

  5. Angel Maple image I mostly played this on Game Angel. Since leveling up in actual MapleStory was a nightmare back then, the vicarious satisfaction of crushing bosses with a strong character in Angel Maple was insane.

  6. Romance Academy (Eye-contact game) image You shoot lasers from your eyes to seduce male students, and they'd follow you around in a huge line to grow your 'squad.' It might be less famous than the others, but I had a blast playing it. Raise your hand if you know this! No one? Alright then...

  7. Harry the Hamster image I had a hard time finding this because I forgot the name. It's a game about a little mouse traveling, and while the difficulty was brutal, exploring new places was really fun.

  8. Smash the Car image A crazy game where you just wreck your boss's car. But it felt strangely satisfying and was pretty addictive lol There was also a 'Smash the Computer' version.

  9. Dancing in Class image It's super hard and the tension is crazy. I found out later that if you press Z, there's a dance you can do even if you get caught.

  10. Reva's Adventure image A fan game based on the character Reva. The cute(?) action and characters really captured the hearts of all the kids back then.

So those are some of the flash games I personally remember. What games did you guys enjoy? Man, talking about flash games makes me really want to play one... so I guess I'll go play League now.

Just went and played the hamster game from number 7 after seeing this. I was playing for 20 minutes straight, but then I messed up once and it was game over.

If you download the Flashpoint Archive, you can easily play through all those nostalgic flash games. Just a heads-up: you have to search for titles in English. Once you type it in and hit the play button, it downloads the files and opens them up for you. It's basically a setup where you can access everything in one place. You can even play On The Run and Alias Runner there.
