A few days ago, I opened Torcon and hopped into a 5v5 chill ranked lobby.

Enemy team: Top Shen Jg Elise Mid TF ADC Vayne Supp Leona. 

Our team: Top Fiora Jg Vi Mid Malzahar ADC Twitch (me) Supp Nami.

As usual, our top, jg, and mid all hard-lost their lanes. The only saving grace was the enemy bot duo being trash.

I got a double kill off a Vi gank, but then Elise started perma-camping bot 24/7. My Nami ended up 0/3, and I was still 0/0.

From there, it was a stale lane state. 

There was a clear skill gap — enemy was Gold, I'm Diamond — so I had about a 40 CS lead. 

Honestly, the Nami (who was the "Lady" room owner) was hard-stuck Platinum and played like garbage. She'd just sit behind me, leech XP, but at least she pressed heal when I got chunked.

I never once thought she'd actually have my back, and sure enough, whenever the enemy drew aggro on her — even when it wasn't even on her — she'd turn around and run in a straight line every single time.

There was literally nothing I could do. If I stepped up and got caught, I'd just die instantly. All I could do was farm the wave coming in...

Top lane inner turret was already half HP gone.  Mid inner was being pressured, so I had no choice but to give up bot outer and rotate mid.

So I had Bilgewater, Ninja Tabi, Zeal — about 1.5 items with boots — and any CC would one-shot me. 

So I rushed QSS instead of Runaan's.  The real issue was the 13-kill Shen was unkillable.. (I still only had 1 death at this point)

But Shen was just a beefcake with no damage. Elise, TF, and Vayne were all squishy, so I figured if I could just go invis, pop ult, and burst their carries one by one, 

we might have a chance. And honestly, it seemed to work at first.

After winning two teamfights, I was like "okay, we got this." But the enemy wasn't completely brainless. They changed their strat: if I wasn't visible or they didn't know where I was, they'd just hold all their CC.

This made it super hard to flank from behind. And whenever Shen would push in, regardless of my stealth status or the situation, my other 4 teammates would just fall back, all the way to the inhibitor, like he was a 1v4 god. 

The enemy knew that if they killed me, the game was over. So Shen and Elise would just ignore everyone else and dive me with taunt-flash, spider E, rappel, the whole works.

My team, maybe scared of dying themselves, would just leave me to die. My positioning was literally the furthest back on our team, but they'd let the divers through and run away backwards..

It got to the point where I couldn't DPS anymore. I muttered to myself, "Ahh... I literally can't deal damage here" — and that's when she spoke up. 

LadyNami opens her mouth.

"Bro, you should be building Executioner's Calling. Why did you go QSS first?"

"What's the point of QSS when you're dead the moment you get caught anyway? So sell QSS, buy Executioner's. I honestly can't believe you're Diamond and you don't even know that."

Momentary mental boom... Like, at this point, are you joking? Executioner's Calling? I calmly collected myself — you guys know what Executioner's does, right?

If she'd said I should've gone GA instead of QSS, I'd get it. But Executioner's makes zero sense. I only got QSS because the enemy team has an overload of CC.

Then she said: 

"Idc, did the QSS save your life? No, it didn't. So you should've bought Executioner's instead. If you had it, we would've ended the game long ago."

Excuse me, LadyNami? I went QSS, and that's the only reason we're still playing at 40 minutes instead of FFing at 15... 

"Whatever, you're right about everything. Just drop it and mute yourself."

Seriously guys, am I the crazy one for thinking Executioner's wasn't the right call here? I seriously cannot understand why I should build Executioner's Calling in that spot.

"You talk way too much. You lost the game by not building Executioner's, and you're asking me why QSS?"
