My Thoughts on Immigration Enforcement

I never really liked Trump from the start. When he was all like "CRUSHING THE PC CULTURE!" I mean, that part was okay. It was funny, right. But like, I didn't like him because it felt kinda populist.

Back then I didn't know that word though So I just figured he was putting on a show or doing politics for the performance.

But once I learned about populism, I started disliking him even more.

Anyway, this isn't some pro-Trump post. It's about some stuff related to immigrants I found out while deep-diving into the abyss of the internet.

I just read US news articles and incidents, that's all I know. But anyway, here goes.

So, like, these immigrants, right? They're just random people who used to live in a different place.

Some religions believe you gotta cut a chicken's neck and smear the blood on the door to keep bad luck out. Some religions believe you gotta scatter beans all over the place to keep bad luck out.

We're used to that, right? Like shamans or the Japanese 'oni' needing to be driven out.

Since we're familiar with this stuff, it seems fine to us. But America doesn't have that at all.

Honestly though, cutting a chicken's neck and smearing blood on a door. It's kinda messed up, isn't it? Grotesque, bizarre. And making talismans with that blood too.

They say they don't do it anymore now, but There are still countries out there with that level of culture.

Say, one day North Korea collapses and North Korean immigrants come flooding into our country. But they're people from a place where food was so scarce that survival came before hygiene.

This is just hypothetical, but If they suddenly started catching and eating stray cats, And since they have no concept of pets, you come home to find they made a stew out of your dog, That would be a huge problem, right.

That's what is problematic. People won't get it if you just say that. Like in League of Legends, there are kids who say "your mom" jokes. You tell them "Saying 'your mom' is bad!" and they're like But my friends say it, those guys say it, everyone in the neighborhood says it, "Why are you only coming at ME?" they think you're specifically targeting them.

To them, it's just the most normal thing in the world. Can't change them. Can't change it.

I know I'm using extreme examples. In reality, it probably wouldn't go that far... But still, if there is that kind of friction, When they come into our country, Before you know it, there would be a lot of people suffering from all sorts of big and small issues caused by people whose common sense is different from ours.

You never know Some might try to teach the neighborhood kids that Kim Jong-un is god, Or someone who lived under communism might come here, say they wanna keep living under communism, and slap you when you complain, yelling "Why are you tripping on me?" Or maybe someone breaks into your house thinking everything is communal property and uses your toothbrush to scrub the toilet.

To them, it was so normal that they wouldn't even know what the problem is.

And the same goes for us, from their perspective. If our country collapses and we have to go up to North Korea, They'd be like "What's with all this cleanliness bullshit?" "You think you're better than us?" "Isn't it common sense that everyone looks out for number one?" They'd talk mad shit behind our backs, calling us a bunch of spoiled, soft, house-plant-ass motherfuckers who've never gone hungry.

Oh? If we're house plants, isn't the way we live the right way? Doesn't democracy let you live like a house plant?

They won't see it that way. They're people who already lost their country. "If you guys were so great, your country wouldn't have collapsed." "So we're the ones who are right, since ours didn't collapse." That's how they'll think.

That's just how common sense works. Hard to change, impossible to force fit.

So, immigration enforcement? Shooting and killing people is a bit too much, I think. But I don't see a problem with the enforcement itself.

Because I personally know of a few cases where, after accepting groups of immigrants, they went into other people's yards and ate stuff from their gardens, played instruments like crazy every night for cultural/religious reasons, or there were just a lot of kids stealing from other people's houses.

Looking at the enforcement itself, I don't really have a problem with it.

Of course, they should apologize and compensate the families of any people who died. But knowing Trump's personality, he'll just act first, and then cut things off with a definitive "That's not okay." So I doubt he'll do it.

Blocking immigrants in itself is one thing... But to me, this also feels like a performance for the cameras. Like, take the emotional element out of the immigration policy, and it just looks like a performance, and I hate that.

I mean, you could do the enforcement quietly, but instead it feels like he's blowing everything up so everyone can see. I wish they'd just set up tents, or since they might keep stealing stuff if left in the US, at least arrange temporary housing outside and help them live decently until they get their American citizenship.

But instead, it's like a terrorist shows up, so first launch a missile. Someone insults an American citizen, so threaten to kill them. Something becomes a PC issue, so go around announcing you're gonna kill PC culture everywhere. Seeing all that, it feels less like a genuine policy and more like an unfortunate incident in a series of flashy, good-looking performances.

Anyway, that's what I think. I hate getting tangled up in politics. Once that happens, people's eyes glaze over and they stop reading the actual post. It's just "What? You don't agree with my ideology? Are you a traitor to your country or what?" Watching people freak out like that makes my head spin.
