To be more precise, I hate content that's designed to make you a dopamine addict.
The reason this kind of content sells is that people are so burnt out and busy that they crave intense stimulation in a short amount of time, but honestly, I don't see how this is any different from being a drug addict...
Drugs -Provide a massive rush in a short time -But you build up a tolerance, so you start craving even stronger hits -Life feels empty and boring without them -Nothing else matters, and only the drug can satisfy you
Dopamine Content -Provides a massive rush in a short time -But you start wanting increasingly more provocative content -You lose all motivation unless you're feeling that dopamine hit -Calm, slow-paced content feels incredibly boring
I might be wrong, but I honestly feel like society today is way too buried in dopamine and instant, fleeting pleasures.
I can literally feel my brain screaming as it rots away from watching Shorts all day long..
